Twain Elementary has launched a new food pantry, a heartfelt initiative designed to support Twain families experiencing food insecurity or difficulty accessing essential items. Twain believes in caring for our whole community. The pantry provides a welcoming space where families can receive support when they need it most.

Lawndale, CA — Lawndale Elementary School District’s Community Schools proudly hosted its first Lawndale Grateful Gathering, a vibrant community resource fair that welcomed 269 families—nearly 800 attendees—for a morning filled with essential services, learning resources, and joyful holiday activities. The event brought together a wide network of partners, volunteers, and organizations, all committed to uplifting and supporting Lawndale district families.

The PALS team hosted lunchtime activities throughout the week to raise awareness about Red Ribbon Week and promote making healthy choices, and held a "Talking to Your Child About Substances: Starting the Conversation Early" workshop in partnership with ADDAP.
